Nestled in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies, 15 miles southwest of Denver, we share a way of life in Conifer that is special. It begins with our appreciation for the land and the abundance of natural beauty which surrounds us.
The explosion of wild flowers each spring and summer carpets our fields and hillsides in multi-colored splendor.
Groves of aspen trees, trademarks of the high country, with their brilliant displays of gold and blazing orange, inspire us each autumn. Towering forests of blue spruce, pine and fir provide a serene habitat for deer, elk, fox, rabbit, other wildlife and birds that also call Conifer home make it an ideal place to live!
But, it is the people living here and the quality of life we share that is the real story of Conifer. We are a diverse community, a melting pot of ideas and energies, drawn here from every part of the country. It is this diversity which enables Conifer to be the vibrant, growing, dignified community it is today.
Currently the fastest growing corridor in the foothills, the areas surrounding Highway 285 is about a 30- 45 minute drive from Downtown Denver allowing you to live in the Mountains, with easy access to all the cultural offerings of the city.
Along with the communities of Morrison, Pine, Kittredge and Indian Hills, the Conifer area is mountain living in the foothills just to the west of Denver. Conifer is probably the best known of all these mountain communities.

Conifer is only 45 minutes from the historic, mining towns of Central City and Blackhawk. Though gold and silver played out long ago in these two mining towns, a new “mother lode” appeared as limited gambling was introduced and attracts large numbers of tourists year round. An additional 45 minutes and you can be on the slopes of one of Summit County’s ski areas, Breckenridge, Copper or Keystone.
